ONGOING CONFLICTS

For the next two months the conversation classes with Sally will be about ongoing conflicts, so, wars taking place nowadays. In the History class you will learn about the two main conflicts of history: WWI and WWII which caused many deaths and casualties, as well as annoying, despairing, and many other issues.

Here you can download the list of the ongoing conflicts. Research about the war/conflict which corresponds to you according to your class number. Get basic information about the conflict and fill in the following information which you will use in your conversation class later.
  • Name of the conflict/war
  • Location (Country; region; continent)
  • Sides (Countries/ ethnics/ religions, etc...)
  • Beginning:
  • Deaths until now
  • Casualties
  • Origin of the problem
  • Possible solution (Yes/not; why?)
  • Type of war (Terrorism/ religious/ ethnic/ colonial, etc...
As well as the chart, every student will bring an accompanying picture of the war to describe it, and, a piece of news about it.
